Entrepreneurship Learning, Personal Character and School Environment on Entrepreneurial Interest of Pamekasan Madura State Vocational School Students

Abstract

Human resource development through education plays an important role in the economic growth of a country. Vocational education, such as that provided by Vocational High Schools (SMK), aims to prepare students to work in certain fields according to their competencies and skills. Vocational Schools have the advantage of producing graduates who are ready to become entrepreneurs and enter the world of work. The research used is explanatory research, namely research that aims to test and explain causal relationships between variables through hypothesis testing. The approach taken in research is a quantitative research approach. This research analyzes the influence of entrepreneurship learning on Pamekasan Madura Vocational School students' interest in entrepreneurship, with personal character and the school environment as mediating variables. The research results show that entrepreneurship learning significantly increases students' entrepreneurial interest, with personal character and the school environment playing a significant mediating role. This learning includes stages such as instilling an entrepreneurial mindset, introducing business, starting a business, and business development, supported by teachers and school principal policies.
